PUBLIC WORKS

• New trucks and equipment so crews can do their jobs effectively.

• Major upgrades and beautification of the Town Green, parks, and shoreline.

• Safer roads, cleaner parks, and improved waterway maintenance.

• Speed bump implementation to increase traffic safety.

• New Probate Office and key upgrades to Town Hall.

POLICE
Mayor Carfora has delivered historic investments in public safety – for the first time since 1985, adding more officers to our streets.

• Funded new firearms and technology.

• Increased School Resource Officers.

• Added a SWAT vehicle and grant-funded drones.

FIRE
For the first time since the 1980s, more firefighters are on staff than anytime in history, ensuring our first responders are supported and equipped.

• Renovation and an addition at the Foxon Fire House.

• New ladder truck.

• Grant-funded defibrillators in Municipal buildings

• Upgrades to Bradford Manor Fire House.

RECREATION & YOUTH

• New digital recreation platform connecting youth and families.

• Restoration of the ice rink, new playgrounds town-wide, new bocce courts, new pickleball courts, and a new all-inclusive playground.

• Thriving Foxon Teen Center.

• Hays School transformed into Camp Hays, Recreation & Youth hub.

• Newly resurfaced football field.

• Transformed East Haven’s technology infrastructure from non-existing to best in class

• Changing the narrative—East Haven is no longer in the headlines for negativity, but recognized as a community where families can live, work, and thrive.

• Carfora’s Green Space Initiative: creating more open space and planning a future waterfront facility for generations.

• Completed stages 3, 4, and 5 of the West End beautification project.

• Secured $4.8 million state grant to repave Main Street in its entirety—construction begins in early 2026.

• Made the strongest investment ever in teacher salaries.

• Improved East Haven’s financial outlook, upgraded to “positive” by S&P Global Ratings.
